I feel like an idiot, but I look like an angel

Can I please just act conceited for a bit here?
I mean, here is how it goes:
You say your ugly, people are all "Oh no your not! Stop saying that!" Unless you are, then they say "Its whats on the inside that counts!" And guess what! Beauty is fleeting! It really is what you think, what you do, what you believe that makes you beautiful!

You gaze at your self in the mirror and think your beautiful. Your automatically conceited, vain, and prideful. Is there no medium? (No, because looks don't matter, remember?) Well I think looks matter just a bit. No, I'm not talking about your face, or your body, or your hair. The human eye is deceitful people. I'm talking about modesty (surprise?) and I'm especially talking about that special glow that Christians have on their faces.
Have you ever seen it?
The glow that came to my Moms face when her friend, who had been barren for years was blessed with a child.
When Chance came to church with us and started talking to paster Sam, and a huge smile hung on his face like a wreath.
Even in sorrow we rejoice. The faces of the mournful people, all in black. Smiling through the tears, singing praises with quaking voices. For the lady in the casket had assurance of faith and salvation.
I've written all this, and non of it is what I really meant to say. All I wanted to tell you, was that I feel beautiful right now. And I plan on feeling beautiful, for the wrest of my life.

Its a celebration!

Dear friends, I am writing to you today to tell you that I am now writing a column called "Mod modesty" on a face book group called Christian+teen+that relationship thing. You can view the group HERE.
To celebrate I'm having a give away! I chose to give away a lovely demure from Natasha's Boutique. And she sent me two because it was a give away!

I chose to give these away because of THIS article I wrote.

Doing business with Natasha was great, and I recommend that you check out her shop!

I'm having way too much fun with this hyper link stuff.

Two people will win a demure. The first person I draw will win the Miss.Samantha black demure, the second will win the blue and black one.
So to enter, just leave a comment below and leave a way i can contact you. I will stop accepting entries after December 13th. I'm not sure when to winner will be made known. So stay tuned!

The creative corner, or, the imagination station!

So if you were wondering what I was up to yesterday, it was school work. Lots and lots of reading. But when I tired of greek mythology, I started work on this lovely project!
A friend of mine gave me lots of thread, and it made this look so cozy and perfect!

Was it you who spoke the words?

Was it you who spoke the words, that things would happen, but not to me. Oh things are going to happen natral lalalala yeah I've had this Jason Mraz song stuck in my head. But thats okay, because I love it.

Today I had work from 11-4, but I was dropped off more then an hour early because my sister had an eye appointment.

After work I had a McNasty burder, it was dry, and greasey. I think the only reason I can usually scarf them down, is because I drown them in ketchup first. But I didn't this time. Then I cashed a check at the bank, and headed over to Aldis and got a 12 OZ bag of cranberries. I am so excited to make cranberry sauce for thanksgiving this year!

These pretty flowers are for my Grandmother for Thanksgiving. But shh, don't tell!

So after our errands me, my Mother, and my sister went to Ladies night out with a bunch of gals from church at a pizza place. It was great! And a friend of mine gave me a box of craft supplies. SCORE!

Today is my Mom's 50th birthday, and she died her hair purple for the occasion. But her hair is really dark, so it didn't take very well:/ She said she'll try again at 60.

Still the life of the party. ;)

I tell yah...

Ah I'm so bad at keeping up with photos. My memory card is almost full because I don't take my photos off it...which I really should do. Anyway, I'm uploading a bunch of photos to my facebook right now. I am so behind!
Okay, so here are me and some friends in sephora at the mall. We were shopping for Kat's 16th b-day! Kat is the one on the far right.

After shopping I changed into my fancy clothes to go see 'Of mice and men' at a university in my city.

YES! This is my poof. I've been wearing it almost everyday since I recieved it on Wednesday. I call it 'The Poof" because I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it makes my skirts and dresses poof out. Amazing.

It was homeschool day at a mini golf place in town, so of course I went out with my friends! I really love how homeschool friendly my city is.

We didn't keep count of our score, but it was still fun!

I also went to my friends surprise party on Friday night, but I didn't upload any photos.

This week is extremely much, lots to do!

Lots of school too, the good thing is, we get two weeks because of thansgiving.

OOooh

Hello friends and animals, I wanted to share this lovely event that Miss.Samantha over on her blog simple Delights will be hosting.
She planning on posting lots of fun tutorials for great Christmas gifts and projects!

I'm also going to try and post a tutorial!
We'll see how that goes.

Also, for all you sewers out there, I'm about to start sewing with my machine that I could never get to work. I took it to a sewing event last night, and the nicest, coolest person I know, helped me a lot with figuring it out, and gave me a new needle. And we ate cupcakes. yum.
That really didn't have anything to do with this, just thought you might want to know.

Its now time to stand up for what we believe in

Friends, strangers, activists, readers. I think its time to take a stand. I'm finding that I've been scared to share my real opinions on issues of actual importance. On things such as abortion, homosexual rights, capital punishment, the health care bill.

First of all, let me just tell you that I am a covanent, reformed, orthodox, presbyterian, Christian. And I would like to ask that all comments on this post be made in a rational, non-insulting way. Logical arguments and debates will be excepted, name calling and degrading comments that have nothing to do with the subject will not.

Abortion.
In my opinion abortion is wrong. I believe that it is murder. I do not believe that it is a womans right to abort a baby because it is her body. Because our bodies are not our own!

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Homosexuality.

The Bible pretty much lays out what I believe. Of course there is hope! We are all sinners, whether we like it or not. Do you think I haven't been greedy? Or I haven't slandered? Think again. But I have been forgiven, and I'm in the proccess of being sanctified.
We shouldn't pass judgment on gay friend, every friend we have is a sinner, does that mean we don't hang out with them, or we hate them? Of course not! We love them and we try to encourage them toward Christ!

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 – “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Capital Punishment.

The bad thing about capital punishment is that people who are inoccent (non of us are inoccent by the way, but there a certain crimes that are deserving of death on earth) are somethimes killed.
Leviticus 24:17-22: "And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

The health care bill.

We shouldn't HAVE to have healthcare. I mean, would you want to governemnt to feed you only vegatables? Also, it shouldn't be the governments job to provide this for us!

Alright! *claps hands* lets get some good conversations going! L<3VED

P.S. for all those who are all "But a loving God would never do this or that," Just remember that God created the wicked for their own desruction. I love the book of proverbs.
